There were different kinds of rocks around them. Some had weathered paintings depicting indecipherable symbols over a meter high, and others were tiny, carefully placed in dozens of spirals that covered the entire space.

“We must be in some kind of forgotten sanctuary,” said Aidan, breaking the silence.

“What kind of gods might these be?” asked Zorzi. “They are mysterious figures of unknown beings. Some are rather strange, don’t you think?”

“The people of this region seem to worship nature,” Aidan answered. “Last night I noticed that the layer separating the worlds is thinner than usual. A strange sensation that reminded me of the ancient oracles of our land.”
